In an attempt to improve the ability of its staff and members to work in partnership with other organisations and develop the process of synergy among them, the National Sports Council has equipped them with the Sports Administration Level 2 package.

The 19 new graduates received their certificates yesterday, after completing 50 hours of training which was spread over five days.

Following the training, the newly graduates should now be able to perform their duties and responsibilities more effectively and efficiently, especially when it comes to managing their time, conflicts and also problem-solving.

The one-week training was run by Guy Morel and Terry Servina.

Among the subjects covered were problem-solving, managing conflicts, managing time and performance management and evaluation.

It was divided into two main parts which were ‘building up the core theory’ and ‘application and practice’.

The course delegates received their certificate from Mr Servina and secretary general of the Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (Socga) Alain Alcindor who was representing the chief executive of the NSC Jean Larue.

Also present at the ceremony was the director of the Sports for All Unit within the NSC Francis Remie who was representing the director for sports training and technical development within the NSC Bernard Denis.
