Ambassador Barry Faure receives commanding officer of INS Darshak | 04 January 2020
Ambassador Barry Faure, secretary of state for foreign affairs and the Blue Economy, met Captain J. Gurumani, the commanding officer of the INS Darshak, a hydrographic survey vessel, on Wednesday at the Maison Quéau de Quinssy.
Captain J. Gurumani also presented a shield as a gift to Ambassador Faure titled ‘Guide of the Seafarers’.
The vessel is in Seychelles to conduct hydrographic surveys in areas around La Digue and Praslin as well as around Port Victoria. These surveys will serve to reinforce safety for maritime navigation and other maritime activities.
