Former Seychelles Breweries MD Patricia Berthelot passes away | 11 January 2020
It is with deep regret that Seychelles NATION has learned of the death of Patricia Berthelot, the former managing director of Seychelles Breweries Limited.
According to reports, Ms Berthelot, a graduate of economics from the University Paris II Panthéon Assas, passed away in Paris, France on Thursday evening.
A marketing specialist with a wealth of experience, Ms Berthelot was appointed managing director of Seychelles Breweries Limited in April 2013 replacing Seychellois Aubrey Lucas who then took a senior role within the Diageo Plc.
Ms Berthelot, who was described by Seychelles Breweries following her appointment as “an impressive leader with a distinguished career in Diageo and the brewery industry”, occupied the post until February 2016 when she returned to her native country Cameroun to take the key position of deputy executive director of Cameroun’s most important brewery – Société Anonyme des Brasseries du Cameroun.
Ms Berthelot’s death is the end of her battle with breast cancer. She was aged 50 years old.
The management and staff of Seychelles Breweries Limited have expressed their heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family of Ms Berthelot and the many friends she has made during her short spell with the company.
