President Danny Faure concluded his State visit in the Kingdom of Bahrain yesterday afternoon with a reception hosted in Manama for members of the Seychellois community currently living and working there.

Most of the Seychellois in Bahrain are predominantly working with the Royal family, and there are others engaged in private businesses.

The reception was an opportunity for them to formally meet President Faure and share their experiences and personal views with the head of state.

The event was also a chance for the Seychellois in Bahrain to come together and meet each other.

Prior to the reception, President Faure also met two officials of the Seychelles People’s Defence Forces (SPDF) currently in Manama, Bahrain as part of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) coalition involving a 33-nation naval partnership.

Lt. Luigi Loizeau of the Seychelles Coast Guard and Lt. Rasheed Jack from the Seychelles Air Force had the opportunity to brief the president, who is also the commander-in-chief of the SPDF, of their experience so far and the benefits of their outstation posting.
