On the second and last day of his State visit in the Kingdom of Bahrain, President Danny Faure yesterday visited the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).

BIBF is a semi-government training institute affiliated with the Central Bank of Bahrain, established in 1981.

The institute is one of the oldest Islamic Banking Finance Professional Qualification providers in the world, currently playing a vital role in the training and development of human capital both in Bahrain and around the world.

With over 39 years of achievements, BIBF has established itself as a leading educational and professional provider across all major business and economic disciplines.

During the visit and tour of the BIBF campus, President Faure obtained a first hand view of the capacity building opportunities available for Seychellois nationals and government bodies at BIBF, as well as identify other possible new areas for future partnerships for the benefit of Seychelles’ banking and financial sector.

Following Wednesday's successful signing of the agreement between the Central Bank of Bahrain and the Central Bank of Seychelles, which includes two scholarships to the Central Bank of Seychelles by BIBF, this represents the start of a fruitful partnership.

Leaving the BIBF Campus, President Faure also visited the National Museum of Bahrain where he had a chance to appreciate the culture and related cultural preservation efforts in Bahrain.
