ANB continues with its mandate during the COVID-19 pandemic |21 April 2020
Officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) within the Seychelles Police Force arrested a 27-year-old male air-conditioning technician of Pointe Larue on Sunday for the offence of possession of a controlled drug.
The suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Talbot, Cascade in the possession of approximately 100 grammes of suspected compressed cannabis (hashish).
He was processed at the ANB station and later released with a case registered against him for the courts.
On Friday April 17, 2020, ANB officers stopped and cautioned a 39-year-old self-employed male suspect at Roche Caiman for possession of a controlled drug.
A small amount of suspected heroin for self-consumption was found in his possession.
A search at his home, Roche Caiman, was conducted by the same team of ANB officers and a total of R385,075 in multiple denominations were found and seized by the officers for further investigation.
He reported to the ANB station yesterday for procedural formalities in relation to the money seized.
