Vision Care donates protective goggles to public health laboratory staff

After reading an article in yesterday’s edition of Seychelles NATION titled ‘A dip in the world of our ‘behind-the-scene’ warriors: the lab professionals’, we were contacted by Hermann Holst, owner of Vision Care Seychelles.

He said he was very happy and proud of these public health laboratory staff. “As I was reading the newspaper this morning, it just came as a spur of the moment decision. When I was reading what type of work these people were doing, I said to myself that, at Vision Care we have the perfect gear for their eyes. So Vision Care has the pleasure to donate each staff of the public health laboratory a pair of safety goggles with prescription if needed. Their material is tested and the lenses are virtually unbreakable.”

Mr Holst asked the lab workers to call him at the Vision Care Hypermarket to collect their protective goggles as from Monday next week in order to avoid the crowd of the following week.

Mr Holst also added that Vision Care is also doing eye tests for people in need and they are helping people if their glasses are broken.

Only the Vision Care Seychelles branch at Hypermarket is open from 10am to 2pm.

This is indeed a wonderful act of service by a private company to a crucial government service. Examples to follow for sure as things are getting harder.
