Weather balloon picked up off Coetivy island |12 May 2020

Yesterday, workers on Coetivy island picked up from the sea a high flying weather station, also known as weather balloon.

According to Islands Development Company (IDC) spokesperson Michael Govinden, Google, the owners of the high flying weather station, contacted the IDC to expect the object close to Coetivy island and to pick it up for them.

The accompanying photos show workers on the island bringing the object onto the beach.
