Accident at Carana on April 21, 2020 Survivor making clinical improvement |29 May 2020

It has been five weeks since the fatal car crash at Carana that took the lives of three men and left one in intensive care.

The only survivor has since been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) at the Seychelles Hospital and Seychelles NATION contacted the health department yesterday to enquire about his condition and we were told that “he has made some clinical improvement”.

The deceased were 40-year-old Terry Arissol of La Louise, 33-year-old Derreck Poris of Plaisance and 29-year-old Paul Hoareau of Roche Caïman who were all pronounced dead on the scene.

It still remains unclear as to why the four persons were on the road in the early morning of April 21, 2020 especially given the restriction of movement period the country was currently in at the time due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The police are still running their investigation into the accident.
