Two suspects arrested in brutal attack on expat |08 June 2020

The police have confirmed that they have arrested two suspects in the attack and brutal beating of a Bangladeshi worker which occurred on Saturday evening at Anse Royale.

An employee of Geffroy’s Farm, also based in Anse Royale, the male expatriate worker has been admitted to the Seychelles Hospital and his condition has been described as stable.

According to Jean-Paul Geffroy, owner of Geffroy’s Farm, the victim was sitting on the doorsteps of the Anglican Holy Saviour’s Church with two of his other employees when they were confronted and beaten up by a group of Seychellois men.

Mr Geffroy noted that these men were coming from a beach party nearby.

Investigation surrounding the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
