Air Seychelles elevates its in-flight entertainment viewing platform with ‘seyStream’

Air Seychelles has announced that the airline will introduce its new in-flight wireless streaming entertainment system across its A320neo and A320ceo aircraft effective August 1, 2019.

The new entertainment system branded as ‘seyStream’ will be accessible via guests’ personal device including smartphones, laptops and tablets. Guests will need to use their headsets when streaming the entertainment platform.

Refreshed bi-monthly, ‘seyStream’ will feature a range of exciting content including Hollywood’s latest release, classic movies, a range of TV programmes such as drama, comedy, documentary, lifestyle and sports as well as a dedicated music collection composed of top international hits and Creole tracks. The platform will also feature children’s programmes and a variety of games.

For first time travellers wishing to know more about the national airline, ‘seyStream’ will also entail an “About Air Seychelles” section featuring a destination guide, information regarding the airline’s fleet plus its network, ancillary services available for bookings, the company corporate social responsibility programme and others.

To track the actual position of the aircraft in real-time, ‘seyStream’ comprehensive in-flight entertainment platform will offer a live dynamic 3D moving map display to provide guests an unrivalled interactive travel experience. Guests are also invited to make use of ‘seyStream’ feedback form available on the platform to share their in-flight experience.

To access ‘seyStream’ when on board the aircraft one will need to firstly place one’s device on flight mode, activate one’s Wi-Fi icon, open one’s preferred browser and choose one’s programme of interest. If the pop up to access ‘seyStream’ does not come up automatically, guests will simply need to insert airfi.aero in their browser.

Remco Althuis, chief executive of Air Seychelles, said: “As part of our commitment to offer guests greater choice when travelling, we are delighted to introduce ‘seyStream’, our new wireless streaming in-flight entertainment platform across our entire fleet and network as from August 1.

“Our aim is to simplify the travelling experience of our guests and with ‘seyStream’ we expect to provide an entertainment platform that is of high quality, fast, reliable and easy to use in addition to delivering a sustainable service offering on board the aircraft.

“I am therefore appealing to all guests to bring their own devices that is their laptops, smartphones or tablets including headsets to freely access ‘seyStream’ when travelling with Air Seychelles as from August 1.

“To enable us to also improve our in-flight entertainment platform we are inviting guests to share their feedback through the survey available on ‘seyStream’ as we value their support in everything that we do.”

To access ‘seyStream’, detailed instructions will be available on a card in the seat pocket on board the aircraft. Guests will be advised by the cabin crew when to access the in-flight entertainment platform.
