Presidential elections Candidates for country’s top post to take part in debate |07 July 2020

Candidates running for the top post in the country will for the first time take part in a presidential debate, it has been confirmed.

According to a Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) news coverage yesterday, the decision was taken during a meeting organised jointly by SBC and the Electoral Commission of Seychelles with representatives of political parties – Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS), United Seychelles (US), One Seychelles and Lalyans Seselwa.

The proposed dates for the next presidential elections are October 22, 23 and 24, 2020.

Seychelles NATION was not invited to report on the meeting.
