Secretary of state for Apdar resigns

The Office of the President was yesterday formally informed that the secretary of state for the Agency for Prevention of Drug Abuse and Rehabilitation (Apdar), Dr Patrick Herminie tendered his resignation to the Minister for Health, on Monday November 9, 2020 in accordance with the three-month notice clause in his public sector contract, which will end in February 2021.

Dr Herminie has served as the chairperson of Apdar since its establishment in September 2017.

In accepting the resignation, President Wavel Ramkalawan thanked Dr Herminie for his contribution that he has made to government and to the country during his tenure in his various capacities.
