Seychelles’ ambassador David Pierre tenders resignation |20 November 2020

The Office of the President was yesterday morning formally informed of the resignation of Seychelles’ ambassador David Pierre.

Ambassador Pierre was accredited to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Republic of Kenya, Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the African Union and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

Ambassador Pierre’s resignation takes effect on December 1, 2020.

In a letter addressed to the principal secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dr Marina Confait, Ambassador Pierre expressed his gratitude to the government for having afforded him the opportunity to serve his country internationally.

In accepting the resignation, President Wavel Ramkalawan thanked Ambassador Pierre for his contributions to the country.
