Cabinet approves additional works on La Gogue Dam

The cabinet of ministers has approved for additional works to be carried out on the La Gogue Dam. 

These will include remedial works to control seepage on the right side of the embankment and provide for stability measures on the south saddle.

Cabinet gave its approval during an extra-ordinary meeting chaired by President Wavel Ramkalawan on Wednesday this week.

During the meeting cabinet was also presented with the National Development Strategy 2019-2023.  Following this presentation, the new administration will pronounce itself on its national priorities for the next five years and the National Development Strategy will be amended accordingly.

Cabinet approved a supplementary budget for 2020.
