Anse Royale businessman renews support to district’s volleyball teams | 23 December 2020
Once again, the Anse Royale women’s and men’s volley ball teams have received the financial support of district’s businessman Ramesh (Damoo) Pillay.
It was at the Anse Royale volleyball court last Wednesday evening that Mr Pillay presented the captains of the two teams Jerina Bonne for Arsu ladies and Jeff Appasamy for Arsu Boys each with a cheque.
Both Ms Bonne and Mr Appasamy have thanked Mr Pillay for his continued support to the district’s teams.
“We know the economic situation at present is quite difficult for businesses, but we are grateful of the support you continue to give to us,” Ms Bonne said.
“The assistance is always an encouragement for us to continue to do our best to bring good results to make our district proud,” Mr Appasamy said.
The district’s member of the National Assembly Sylvanne Lemiel was also present to support the initiative.
For his part, Mr Pillay said it is always a pleasure for him to support and encourage sports development in the district and he has called on both teams to continue to do their best to bring good results.
