UniSey launches Master in Education programme with PGCE Exit Point |03 February 2021

As per President Wavel Ramkalawan’s address of February 1, 2021, the need to re-skill and re-look at career choices is crucial in this current economic downturn that the country is facing. Teaching is one important area of need in Seychelles and one of the University of Seychelles’ main mandates is to train, build knowledge, skills and competences.

UniSey has immediately taken this on board and would like to invite newly returning graduates and those graduates who have lost their jobs during this Covid period to join its MA in Education programme, with PGCE Exit Point.

Application is NOW OPEN for this programme which will start end of February 2021, on a part-time basis.

One of the benefits of following this programme, is you will be teaching and studying at the same time, therefore, imparting your knowledge and skills to your students as you go along. The MA in Education looks at current issues in education on a local, regional and international level and it aims to enable all participants to develop a personal response to the challenges in the education field. The programme has three pathways;

  • Academic
  • Applied Masters and
  • Applied Masters with Qualified Teacher Status

Therefore, should you wish to reskill and take up teaching or consider other higher education training opportunities, contact the University of Seychelles on 2660988 or marketing@unisey.ac.sc to discuss your options.
