Air Seychelles starts voluntary redundancy process |25 February 2021

Air Seychelles has confirmed that the airline has started a voluntary redundancy process effective Tuesday February 23, 2021. The voluntary redundancy, while targeting staff members aged 55 years onwards, is also available to other staff members who are interested in exiting the company.

With the reduction in air travel and the slowdown in business, similar to other airlines globally, Air Seychelles continues to experience the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

With further reduction in activities across its entire network and having reviewed its overhead costs, the expected short and medium term performance of the different business units, including the current staffing levels, based on the expected recovery scenarios, Air Seychelles has to unfortunately evaluate its manpower plan in order to sustain its long-term operations.
