Covid-19 update 80 new cases in three days |19 March 2021

Eighty (80) new cases of Covid-19 were recorded since the last update bringing the total number of cases recorded in Seychelles to 3,566.

Of the new cases, 23 are foreigners and 57 are Seychellois.

Sixty-six (66) are from samples taken on March 16, 13 March 17 and 1 on March 15.

More than two thirds were known contacts of a positive case.

Everyone is advised to continue to practise the different measures to stop the spread of COVID-19. Keep interactions to immediate households (the persons you live with) only and to not gather in crowds. Other measures to follow:

• Wear a mask in public places and where physical distancing cannot be maintained.

• Practise hand hygiene regularly.

• Avoid gatherings and crowds.

• Avoid sharing objects.

• Practise physical distancing of more than 1 metre.
