Yachting - Allan Julie leads Laser Standard ranking

Allan Julie is the leader in the men’s Laser Standard class

It is no surprise that veteran sailor Allan Julie is the leader of the Laser Standard series of the 10th Indian Ocean Islands Games with only two races remaining.

Rodney Govinden is presently occupying the runner-up spot in the group which features five sailors.

Out of the 10 races completed so far, Julie has five first places, three second places and two fourth places, with one being discarded.

Julie is presently on 19 points.

As for Govinden, he has won three races, and has finished in second position six times, while his only fourth-place finish has been discarded. He is also on 19 points.

The last two races of the series which are taking place in Grand Baie, in the northern part of Mauritius, will take place today.

In the Laser Radial, Paul Morel is presently in fourth position on 33 points, while Kenny Constance is fifth on 40 points.

In the women’s Laser 4.7, Chantal Hoffman is presently in fifth position on 58 points, one rank ahead of compatriot Alison Hoareau who is sixth on 61 points.

With 35 points, Dominic Labrosse is in the bronze medal position of the men’s 4.7 Laser series, while Loïc D’Offay is fourth on 36 points.

In kite surfing, Dominique D’Offay De Rieux is fifth on 76 points, four steps ahead of Rayen Radegonde who is in ninth position on 85 points.

Praslinois Bertrand Lablache is presently fourth in the windsurfing regatta on 51 points, ahead of Jacquelin Languila who is fifth on 53 points.
