The 18-strong delegation is headed by Alain St Ange, director of tourism marketing, David Germain, the Seychelles Tourism Board’s (STB) manager for South Africa, and Marsha Parcou, who recently moved to South Africa to strengthen the team in that important market.

The STB has been revamping its strategy in South Africa to make Seychelles more visible and to attract more visitors to our islands.

“South Africa has always been an important market for Seychelles, and we need to ensure we get our fair share of tourists from that market,” said Mr St Ange.

The dedicated Seychelles workshops, starting on Monday, are aimed at updating tour operators and their nominated travel agents on Seychelles’ unique selling points and on the Affordable Seychelles campaign launched by Vice-President Joseph Belmont and Mr St Ange in Berlin, Germany, earlier this year.
 
The South African travel trade will also be given the necessary tools to sell Seychelles more successfully.
