Louis, Felix and Rose in action today SEYCHELLES’ three representatives – Francis Louis, Richard Felix and Andy Rose – in the International Cycling Union (UCI) African Cycling Championship in Windhoek, Namibia, go into action today. 
They will take part in the 40km elite team time-trial which features on the continental championship’s race programme for the first time.
Accompanied by coach Lucas Georges, the local riders, who left for Windhoek on Sunday, will take the start of the 30km individual time-trial on Friday before competing in the 147.4km road race on Sunday November 8. The road race will cover 11 laps.
Hosts Namibia are the defending champions and they are fielding two teams – a national team and a development team. Other than Seychellois and Namibians, cyclists from Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Lesotho, Libya, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Rwanda, Sao Tomé & Principe, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe are taking part in the championship. There are also events reserved for female cyclists.
