Juniors eliminate Anse Etoile to reach final

Juniors are in the final of the Second division knockout competition after a fine win on Tuesday.

Their opponents were Anse Etoile, a team who have finished above them in the league. Juniors took the match in their stride from the word go, winning the first quarter 15-13.
Juniors and Anse Etoile tied each other at 15-15 in the second period for a 30-28 score in the young team’s favour.

The third quarter was where Juniors pulled away as they overpowered Anse Etoile 21-12 to open up an 11-point lead over their opponents. The fourth quarter was a much higher scoring affair as Juniors aimed to keep their lead and Anse Etoile threw everything forward with the hope of closing the gap. It ended 26-24 in favour of Juniors with the final score reading 77-64.

Juniors will now play the winners of today’s second semifinal between Cascade Bullets and Razors. The final is expected to be played this coming Saturday at 2pm at Victoria Gymnasium.
