Tang Soo Do karatekas bring the art to the elderly |23 November 2004
Karatekas of the Tang Soo Do school spent the whole Saturday afternoon with some of the country's senior citizens. On the programme were different leisure and sporting activities, a stunning kata demonstration and a musical show by well-known singer Jean Ally.
According to Tang Soo Do instructor Jossy Canaya, because the event was a success there is a possibility that the school incorporates it on its calendar of activities.
"We wanted to entertain the elderly and bring a smile to their faces. The activity was a success and we are therefore thinking of doing it more often. From their (the elderly) response, I can say that they had a great time in our company," said Canaya.
He added that they also took the occasion to share ideas on different issues over some delightful snacks and refreshment.
