Football: Cosafa Cup-A win and two defeats for Seychelles

DORASAMY … scorer of Seychelles’ winner against Mozambique

The boys of coach Ralph Jean-Louis and assistant Bernard Dorasamy opened the score through Sunshine’s Ronny Rose against Angola Saturday November 27 but still lost their first game 1-3.
The next day, they rebounded to victory, defeating Mozambique 1-0.

Seychelles’ goal for the much-needed victory was scored by lanky SMB striker Che Dorasamy, probably the most experienced player on the team after he played on the country’s junior team in the Olympic 2004 qualifiers and on the senior squad at last year’s Indian Ocean Islands Games in Mauritius.

Tuesday November 29 (night), Seychelles were beaten 8-1 by the Amajita of South Africa.

Seychelles’ fourth game in group C is on Wednesday against Mauritius, who held South Africa to a 1-1 draw before losing 0-2 to Angola.

The Mauritians were to play their Mozambican counterparts Tuesday night.
