Athletics: Southern Region Youth Championship-Four athletes in South Africa |03 June 2005

The four athletes are Hazeron Etienne, Kenny Solin, Nelson Renaud and Sabrina Laurence.

Etienne, who recently cleared the bar with a personal best height of 2 metres, will participate in two events on the field - high jump and long jump.

Last year’s Commission de la Jeunesse et des Sports de l’Océan indien (CJSOI) athletics competition’s 400-metre gold medalist Nelson Renaud will run the one-lap race in Tswane.

Both Laurence and Solin will settle in the starting blocks of the printing events – 100 and 200 metres.

The four athletes are being accompanied by Arthur Agathine who is acting as coach and head of delegation.

The delegation is expected back home on Thursday June 9.
