DP’s interim leader on official visit to China |17 September 2005

 He is accompanied by the Party’s treasurer, Cyril Lau Tee.

A communiqué from the DP’s headquarters said that among the highlights of their visits are meetings with the vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr Shen Guofang, a former ambassador to the United Nations and the director of International Relations (Africa Section) of the Communist Party of China.

There will also be a tour of historic sites including the Great Wall and visit to the industrial cities of Changchun, Qingdao, Zhengzhou and the port of Dalian. 

The delegation is expected to return to Seychelles on September 27.

This week, Mr Gabriel and Mr Lau Tee were hosted to dinner by the Ambassador of China to Seychelles, H.E. Chen Meifen, in preparation of their visit.
