Seychellois youths visit Oman |15 December 2005
The young people, aged 16 to 18 years, are accompanied by the secretary general of the National Youth Council (NYC), Emmanuel Toussaint and the Council’s chairman, Lenny Lebon.
Mr Toussaint said that the trip to Oman came after the young people, who also form part of the NYC's support group, wanted to reciprocate the visit their Omani friends made to Seychelles during this year’s Youth Festival and with whom they have forged good relations.
He said that in Oman the young Seychellois will get the chance to experience the Omanis' way of life by getting to spend time at their homes with their families.
The group will also get the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities like cultural presentations, round table discussions and a Seychelles/Omani traditional evening.
They are expected back in the country on Saturday December 24.
