NEP Regional Home for the Elderly-New pillows, bedsheets for residents |26 June 2006

The donation was presented to Marie-Ange Denis, the director of Hospital Administration, by the chairman of the organisation, Joel Stravens, in a short ceremony held at the Home on Friday afternoon (June 23). 

The activity was attended by the principal secretary for Health, Jessie Esparon, the Nurse Coordinator of the Home, Venise Clarisse, and some members of Round Table.

Mrs Denis welcomed the generous donation made by the organisation saying that it would go a long way towards enabling the Health Department to improve the services rendered to the elderly, who she said have special needs.

Mr Stravens said Round Table acquired the items from the cruise liner Seabourn Spirit , which sought haven in Seychelles in November last year, after being attacked by suspected pirates off the coast of Somalia.
