Airtel re-opens Victoria showroom to fuel 3G explosion

The local telecommunication company is striving to achieve its goal through the provision ofInside the newly re-opened showroom what it is calling the Airtel 3G experiences, which can be appreciated at its recently re-opened showroom at its office branch in Victoria.

The showroom shares office space with Airtel’s old customer services office on the ground floor at Trinity House and has been fittingly labeled the ‘Airtel Experience Centre’.

The centre has been receiving customers since early last week, but it was officially opened on Friday by the Mayor of Victoria, Florence Benstrong, in the presence of Airtel’s Chief Executive Officer, Vinod Sud, and staff of the company.

Speaking to Nation following the opening of the showroom, Airtel’s marketing officer, Beverly Parmantier, explained that the re-opening of the showroom is in a bid to showcase the latest technology and services that the company can now provide to clients following the recent overhaul of equipment.

She noted that the centre will not only allow Airtel to provide the most recent innovation in the world of telecommunications to clients, but will also enable the company to do so with the highest level of customer service.

Mrs Benstrong, accompanied by CEO Sud, cuts the ribbon to officially open the showroomShe remarked that with the opening of the centre, Airtel has also launched its new brand, which reads ‘Think Fresh, Deliver More’ ad which essentially promises a fresh look and feel of Airtel services; to remain in touch with valuable customers and to adopt an approach of ‘can do’ to all customer needs.

According to a communiqué from the Airtel Experience Centre, the showroom is to serve as a one-stop, one-visit destination for new and existing customers of the company, for all their queries and information needs.

Among the more interesting new 3G services that are available to users at the Experience Centre, are the use of internet through mobile phones; the possibility to make real-time two-way video calls; watch mobile TV on your mobile phone, download full stereo-quality songs; and play the most awesome games ever.

Clients will also be pleased to learn that phones with USB cords via bluetooth and infrared can be used to transfer internet service from their phones to their laptops, from all areas covered by Airtel, which recently extended to as far away as Coetivy .

However, to access the third generation (3G) technology for mobile phones, clients will have to visit the Experience Centre at Trinity House, as a slight modification to their phones has to be made.

According to Ms Parmantier, the adjustment will last no more than a few minutes and has to do with the software within the phone only and should not damage its exterior.
