Athletics-SAF receives equipment

It was German Günther Felbinger, an athletics coach and development expert who works SAF boss Dora accepts a piece of equipment from Mr Felbinger in the presence of Snoc and SAF officialswith the German Olympic and Sports Confederation and who is here to make a hands-on evaluation of track and field athletics in Seychelles, who presented the equipment to SAF chairman Selby Dora.

The ceremony took place on Monday afternoon at the Seychelles National Olympic Committee (Snoc) headquarters, at Stad Linite, Roche Caïman, in the presence of Snoc president Antonio Gopal, Snoc secretary general Alain Alcindor, Snoc treasurer Mary Banane, SAF secretary general Wilfred Adrien and Athletics director Giovanna Rousseau.

The equipment comprises javelins, medicine balls, micro-cycle puzzles and stop watches.
The equipment was ordered by the SAF and Mr Dora thanked the German Olympic and Sports Confederation for its assistance.

Mr Dora explained that the SAF is glad the German Olympic and Sports Confederation has responded to the needs of the local athletics federation and that the SAF will make the most of the equipment.

He added that hopefully this is the platform for consultancy and continued support and co-operation between the SAF and the German Olympic and Sports Confederation
It is to note that Mr Felbinger left the country yesterday after presenting his report to members of the SAF and Snoc.
