New service to wrap luggage at airport

The machine that is being used to wrap passengers’ luggageIt will help protect passengers’ cases from condensation when planes are flying at high altitude, the airport’s terminal and landside operations manager, Eric Frost, said.

Each piece of baggage can be wrapped in clear plastic at a cost of five euros for visitors and R30 rupees for residents.

 “The service is available in the concourse area, opposite the entrance to the international departure lounge,” said Mr Frost.

The company involved is called Seywrap Services and is based at North East Point.
