PLS Hurricanes displayed their superiority against Super 8 with a 41-32 win. The win came despite PLS Hurricanes playing with a man less – six – as Jorge Hafner was given a straight red card during the first half for questioning a two-minute penalty he had received after a foul.
PLS Hurricanes won the first half 16-10, with Leeroy Samedi scoring 12 goals for the Plaisance-based team who have six points after their second win in as many matches.
The defeat was Super 8’s third, meaning they stay winless on three points. Boxer Kitson Julie scored 12 goals for Super 8.
AC Brothers brought to three their number of wins in the league after getting a 40-36 victory against ABS Kings. The two teams were tied 16-16 at half-time. Steven Andre made a 12-goal contribution towards the Anse Aux Pins-based team’s victory.
With the win, AC Brothers have shot to the top of the six-team standings with nine points, while ABS Kings, who got 10 goals from Cyril Freminot, stay winless in two matches.
ABS Kings’ next game is against defending champions PLS Hurricanes this coming Saturday, and on the same day Durantha Brothers will meet APC Brothers.
