Athletics: East Coast League – round 3-13 athletes remain in jackpot hunt |23 June 2008
A total of 13 athletes remain on track for the jackpot after they all won their respective events in round three on Saturday afternoon at Stad Popiler.
The 13 athletes in contention for the prize money are Randolph Prudence (male U16 1,500m), Randy Gappy (male U18 1,500m), Darren Albert (male U16 400m), Dereck Albert (male U18 400m, Annelie Laramé (female U16 100m), Jemmy Joubert (male U16 100m), Samantha Esther (female U18 800m), Laureen Felix (female U16 long jump), Ronny Bristol (male U16 shot putt), Mario Emilien (male U16 high jump), Alex Confait (male U18 long jump), Nerry Luc (male U16 long jump) and Lissa Labiche (female U16 high jump).
The third round winners were Annelie Laramé (Praslin, female U16 100m in 13.90 seconds), Jemmy Joubert (Praslin, male U16 100m in 11.85 seconds), Darren Albert (Fast Track, male U16 400m in 58.80 seconds), Marie-Antoinette Robert (Belonie Star, female U16 800m in 2 minutes 41.93 seconds), Alexina Moosa (Praslin, female U18 100m in 13.89 seconds), Travis Monthy (East Coast, male U18 100m in 12.18 seconds), Dereck Albert (Praslin, male U18 400m in 56.34 seconds), Angelique Adeline (Praslin, female U18 400m in 1 minute 04.19 seconds), Samantha Esther (Praslin, female U18 800m in 2 minutes 47.07 seconds), Randy Gappy (East Coast, male U18 1,500m in 4 minutes 39.89 seconds), Lissa Labiche (Fast Track, female U16 long jump with 5.00m), Nerry Luc (Praslin, male U16 long jump with 6.13m), Mario Emilien (Nac, male U16 high jump with 1.45m), Ronny Bristol (Top Racers, male U16 shot putt with 13.01m), Alex Confait (East Coast, male U18 long jump with 5.39m), Lissa Labiche (East Coast, female U16 high jump with 1.60m), Randolph Prudence (East Coast, male U16 1,500m in 4 minutes 37.02 seconds), Carlos Ernesta (Spartan, male U18 high jump with 1.65m) and Sheena Dogley (PLS, female U18 shot putt with 9.04m).
If there are two or more event winners in both age groups, the prize money will be divided equally. If only one athlete wins his/her event four times in both age groups, he/she will pocket the jackpot.
