Full Vibes at it again |02 August 2008
Reported to have disbanded some three years ago when lead singers Junior Abel and Shagrock left to pursue solo careers, the band now appear to have mended their differences and plan to release their latest single here this coming Tuesday.
The single, called Do It Again, will be released for the first time live on FM Radio’s Chat lo sa rhythm show as from 7pm, when the two lead singers will also connect with the show’s presenter by phone.
According to Guy Hall, the band’s agent here, the single is a sample from the upcoming third album by the group, to be released sometime next month. He said the release will be followed by a live performance in Seychelles to further promote their newest work.
Speaking of Full Vibes’ new release, Mr Hall explained that die-hard fans won’t be able to add the song to their collection just yet, as its release is strictly for radio use and for promotion purposes.
He said the song is a typical Full Vibes’ reggae experience that fans will learn to cherish, as has been the case with plenty of the band’s releases.
The upcoming Full Vibes album is their third to be released here. People Get Ready, released in 1998, brought about the fervour that was to follow their every step. United Nations of Africa (USA) followed in 2002, just before an eventual split.
Junior Abel and Shagrock continued to pursue their musical careers as a team in spite of the split and together released Critics in 2004 and Till the End in 2006 before now getting back together with their friends.
