Golf-Lablache nets inaugural ISPC competition |15 October 2008
For the second competition in a row, a junior golfer triumphed. Anthony Lablache, 17, scored a record 7 nett to win the medalford competition. His score of 30 on the front nine was equal to that of Andrew Hoareau and one better than Alix Esparon and Sunil Shah, who both scored 31.
The back nine was played on a stableford basis where one has to pick up as many points as possible. Lablache finished with a score of 23 – the same total as Joe Elisa. Despite their hard work, Hoareau and Esparon could not match that score and settled for second and third places with scores of 9 and 10.
The prizes were presented to the winners by Xavier Heinen, general manager of ISPC, who said he is looking forward to sponsoring a similar competition next year. The members would like to thank ISPC for its support and for sponsoring this event.
