New computers to boost children’s skills |23 November 2008

Chinese ambassador to Seychelles Wang Weiguo presented Raymonde Camille of the Village with four laptops, a variety of Lego toys and other materials during a ceremony yesterday at the Chinese Embassy at St Louis.

The gift from Zhang Ruizhen, wife of the Chinese People’s Congress Standing Committee chairman, was made to the Children’s Homes Foundation, which oversees the President’s Village.

Mrs Camille, who was representing the foundation’s chairperson First Lady Nathalie Michel, said the donation comes at an opportune time with Christmas fast approaching and she expressed gratitude for the continuing fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
