Venezuelan envoy calls on President Michel |29 August 2009

Maria Jacqueline Mendoza Ortega, who is her country’s ambassador to Kenya, delivered an invitation to the President to take part in the second South America-Africa summit to be held in Venezuela between September 22 and 27.

Mrs Ortega said the summit will focus on promoting and carrying out projects and programmes of South-South cooperation in areas such as agriculture, culture, education and the environnment.

She said Seychelles and Venezuela enjoy a good and friendly relationship and have established cooperation in various areas.
Mrs Ortega is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
