It took the northern side only 50 minutes to wipe out their opponents 25-10, 25-19 and 25-18.

Meanwhile, league champions Premium Spikers also began their knockout campaign on a high note with an easy 3-0 victory over Neo Boyz on Sunday.

Spikers took only 50 minutes to get rid of the young Neo Boyz team 25-8, 25-21 and 25-17. Their next opponents will be Port Glaud-based Roots in the quarter-final.

In two other men’s matches last weekend, La Digue beat BSA Spikers 3-1 (26-24, 22-25, 25-21, 25-20) after the latter walked over St Louis in their first match.

In the women’s matches, SMB took only 43 minutes to whitewash Cadettes 3-0 (25-7, 25-7, 25-13) while United Sisters beat Mont Fleuri by a similar score. The set scores were 25-16, 25-15 and 25-13.

United Sisters will now play against BSA Sisters in the quarter-final.

Cascade, who beat Cascade Youth 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-17), will meet St Louis Bombers in the other quarter-final match.
