Mobile billboard brings new-look advertising

Mobile advertising on buses and on company vehicles is not new here, but local businessman Barry Laine has now created a mobile billboard that can be taken to any kind of function or sports event to advertise products.

At night, the billboard lights up to display the advert in a bright and attractive way, Mr Laine said.

In the private sector and in government alike, operating budgets are being squeezed and this form of advertising can create more results for your money, he added.

Mr Laine’s mobile billboard is already a familiar sight on our streets

The mobile billboard has been tested and licensed by the authorities and is fully insured. It operates as a “no engine” vehicle in its own right, with its own licence plate, and can go anywhere and park anywhere a licensed vehicle can.

The billboard, built by Mr Laine himself using a boat trailer that was abandoned in someone’s backyard, has already appeared at the Bazar Victoria and on the streets of Victoria.
