Wrestling-Wins for Magnan, Bonne and Labrosse |30 October 2009

Magnan won the 12-13 years old category ahead of runner-up Trevor Henriette and third-placed Darian Onezime.

The 14-17 years old division was dominated by Bonne, relegating Yannick Sedgwick, Carlos Labiche, Mervin Serret, Ned Camille and Rodney Florentine into second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth positions.

With three opponents in the 18 years and over category, Francis Labrosse finished first.

Keven Clarisse was second, Desire Florentine third and Rodney Esparon fourth.

Sunday’s competition was the third organised by the Seychelles Wrestling Association this year after the first on May 1 at Anse Royale and the second during the Regatta weekend at Beau Vallon in August.

In August, four local wrestlers took part in the Tournoi de l’Amitié de l’Océan Indien in Mauritius. Annette Gabriel (60kg), Francis Labrosse (66kg) and Andy Milius (84kg) won bronze medals at that tournament.
