Undeterred by the wet weather, the juniors had three days of training with former national team coach Tim Horpinitch followed by two days of competition.

In the beginner category, Ross Lai Lam dominated in his first tournament without dropping a match, taking home the first prize medal. There was a good fight for second place, with brothers Michael and David Wood finishing on equal points.

In the intermediate category, Anthony Gold also took first prize without losing a match. However, he had to work very hard in the final match, narrowly beating Abdul Jumaye 8-6.

Fraser Brown put in a good performance as did Salimah Jumaye, who had moved up from the beginner group.
In the hotly contested advanced category, Yannick Barguain held his nerve in a close match with newcomer Jordi de Georgi, winning the final 10-8.

Martin Anganuzzi once again played well to finish in third place.
Representatives of Eden Island generously provided prizes which included wristbands, water bottles and caps.
