New fleet of buses blessed |26 November 2009

A short ceremony was held at the New Port depot, attended by the company’s chief executive Veronique Laporte, several drivers and other staff.

The buses were blessed by Catholic Bishop Denis Wiehe and Pastor Simon Fred from the Anglican Church.

The 52-seater buses will be used on the Port Glaud and Baie Lazare routes as they have steeper gradients than other places and are further away.

Six of the new buses will be in use today and the rest will be in service tomorrow and on Monday.
