Indian ladies offer gifts to President’s Village |22 December 2009
These items, which included a fridge, toys, snacks, a Christmas cake and also R1000 cash, were presented to the village’s director Liz Englert.
Handing over the gifts in the presence of some children, the Indian High Commissioner’s wife, Madhumita Nag, said they are happy to have given these items especially now that Christmas is on the way.
She also wished all children at the President’s Village a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Mrs Englert thanked the ladies for their generous gifts on behalf of the children.
Also present at the ceremony was the representative from the First Lady’s office and Children’s Home Foundation Michael Charlette.
He said Mrs Nag and First Lady Nathalie Michel are good friends and they discussed about these gifts and Indian Ladies Group organised a bazaar recently to get the funding.
