Vijay Construction honours long-serving workers |08 July 2010
Two of them – Paul Louise and Keshra Hirani, an Indian who is a naturalised Seychellois – had served the company for 30 years.
The ceremony was attended by Macsuzy Mondon, Minister for Education, Employment and Human Resources, the company’s managing director Vijay Patel and other guests.
They all received certificates and Vijay Construction watches as tokens, presented by Mrs Mondon, and cash prizes from Mr Patel.
Besides recognising these deserving employees, the company also gave out Vijay Construction watches as mementos to their partners.
Mr Patel, who congratulated the staff, said their contribution to the company’s success is very much appreciated.
“It’s all of you who make the company, and if you don’t work then the company will not progress,” he said.
Mrs Mondon, who also congratulated the awardees and other staff, said this event shows that the company appreciates their hard work and contribution.
She said she is happy to note that Vijay recognises not only its staff but their partners too.
Mrs Mondon called on the staff to be good role models to young workers.
On behalf of her colleagues, Linda Meme – who has been with the company for 25 years – thanked the management of Vijay Construction for the rewards.
