Mr Lucas presenting cheques to Kreol Cabaret Production (photo above) and representatives of Dezil and Friends

SBL managing director Aubrey Lucas presented a cheque for R100,000 to Kreol Cabaret Production as a contribution to Lakadans, the last event in the festival.

Lakadans will be held at La Promenade mini-stadium in Victoria on Sunday October 31, with tickets costing R100.

Another cheque for R30,000 was presented to representatives of Dezil and Friends, which will help them present their show on Friday October 29 at the International Conference Centre.

The handover of both cheques took place on Thursday at the SBL head office, Le Rocher.

Mr Lucas said this year is special as it is the 25th Creole Festival and the company has made an extra effort in its contribution. He wished both parties success in their activities.

Representatives of the two groups thanked SBL for the donation and presented Mr Lucas with tickets and invitations to the events.
