Football: Barclays league division two/three -SMB take top spot, Quincy climb on |13 May 2011

SMB are now on 16 points from five wins, a draw and only one defeat, similar to second placed Cadets who have an inferior goal difference.

In their last match against Mont Fleuri on Tuesday at Stad Linite, SMB took an early lead through Yannick Julie in the 14th minute before ex-SPDF and national team player Marlon Sophola leveled the match in the 43rd minute.

Both teams pushed forward in the second period, but neither could score, concluding the match on a 1-1 draw.
The result keeps Mont Fleuri sixth on the league table with seven points from two wins and a draw.

Quincy bounced back from a two-goal deficit to salvage a point against SPDF in their league match on Wednesday at Stad Linite.

Goalkeeper Danny Larue gave SPDF the lead early in the match on penalty before Kenneth Annette doubled the score in the 40th minute to give SPDF a comfortable 2-0 lead at half time.

Ryan Dugasse pulled one back for Quincy in the 57th minute, before Jerry Freminot leveled the score in the 70th minute to pick up a point for Quincy.

Quincy lie third on the league table with 13 points from four wins and a draw.

In the only league division three match played during the week, Plaisance thrashed Agrics 4-1 to claim the second spot on the league table. Clint Safrance and James Bill scored for Plaisance before the Agrics players scored two own goals, giving Plaisance a comfortable 4-0 lead. Yannick Constance pulled one back for Agrics in the dying seconds of the match to conclude the match on a 4-1 score.

Plaisance have now 10 points after three wins and a draw while Agrics remain fifth with seven points.
