Air Seychelles-Gilbert Morin appointed director, Ground Services

Mr Morin joined Air Seychelles in 2007 as general manager, Ground Services Operations.Mr Morin, Air Seychelles’ new director, Ground Services

He previously worked with Cable & Wireless Seychelles where he had seven years experience as divisional manager, Customer Operations with prime responsibility for service delivery and also spent a year there as divisional manager Programmes.

During his four years in Ground Services Operations, Mr Morin has undergone intensive ground operations regulatory and standards training at IATA in Geneva and at the national airline’s training academy based at the airport.

Among his responsibilities as the new director Ground Operations, Mr Morin will ensure that his team will abide by all references of quality and safety standards that are laid out in different areas of service provision that meet the safety operational and commercial objectives of the airline.

His extensive background of the local business environment will contribute towards his new functions and other service delivery components.

Mr Morin’s appointment forms part of Air Seychelles’ succession plan which enables the airline to systematically prepare, groom and train its Seychellois staff to replace those who retire, leave earlier than expected and to also replace non-Seychellois staff who are temporarily employed on a contract basis.
