Football-Mayotte beat Reunion to win group |09 August 2011

In a game watched by a small crowd, the Mayotte players opened the scoring in the 57th minute through Saïd Yazidou.
They confirmed their victory in the 78th minute as Antoisis Abdou scored to make it 2-0.

Mayotte are the group B winner with four points and Reunion finish as runners-up with three.

As for Madagascar, they have been eliminated from the tournament after a draw and a loss.

This result will be interesting for the four teams in pool A who play out their last match today.

The Seychelles team are in a strong position to top their group with victory though a draw will guarantee them qualification.

The Mauritians, the Maldivians and even the Comorians can still qualify if they win their last, adding to the intrigue of the group as the semifinal beckons on Thursday.
