New Democratic Party changes name to Seselwa United Party |18 October 2013

The New Democratic Party has had its name changed to Seselwa United Party.

In a communiqué released yesterday, the Seychelles Electoral Commission writes that the Registrar of Political Parties has approved the second submission for the application of change of name from New Democratic Party to Seselwa United Party.

The communiqué adds that in accordance with the provisions of the Political Parties (Registration and Regulations) Act, the Registrar of Political Parties is satisfied with the amendments submitted for a change of name from New Democratic Party to Seselwa United Party.

It is hereby confirmed that Seselwa United Party is now registered under the Political Parties (Registration and Regulations) Act, it adds.
